Hailing all the way from Traverse City Michigan, Slabtown Marketing and I hit it off through various other projects almost right away. Understanding their caring and detail-oriented nature right from the beginning, Slabtown came to me with a half-baked logo in mind, they just needed the final touches of design to polish it off. The name 'Slabtown' coming from an industrial logging town, almost seemed too obvious of fit for graphically represented tree rings as the accented detail hidden on pages. When it came down to a color palette, it was almost a no-brainer after getting a sneak-peek at some of the photography they had shot. Taking hints and hues from the natural palette that their shoot established, led us down the road to the cohesive look they needed.
